Humans are seldom conscious of their bad mental habits.

One person may instantly become tense and on edge before undertaking a task; another initially reacts with negativity or panic when faced with a new situation, while another rebels, and yet another gets discouraged.

But as they are not even aware of these attitudes, they cannot address them, and whatever the circumstances, they inevitably fall into the same trap. So, the first thing to do is to observe yourself in order to know yourself.

As soon as you begin to see clearly within yourself, you have the means to put the situation right; you immediately receive an impulse mobilizing all the possibilities God has placed in your subconsciousness, your consciousness, and your superconsciousness. In this way, you may progress every day because you have made a habit of studying yourself and becoming self-aware.
